Scarecrow Day
This was held on the 14th August and was a great success. About 20 Scarecrows were made and displayed by Orby Villagers with a theme of “Movies” The new Landlady of Orby’s recently refurbished Red Lion pub performed the judging and and declared “E.T.” by Ken and Mary Barnes the winner:

Refreshments including a superb BBQ and excellent cakes were available at the village hall.
Can you think of additional uses for the hall?
Orby Village Hall is self funding and run by a team of volunteers for the community. In order to keep the hall open, we need it to be used regularly. For example, one thing we do not currently have in Orby is any form of exercise or dance classes so if you know of any instructors please recommend the hall to them.
